Who was the first woman president in the world?



The world's first woman president was Marma Estela 'Isabel' Martinez Cartas de Peron of Argentina.
He was President of Argentina from 1974 to 1976.
After her husband President Juan Peron died, Isabel served as President from July 1 1974 to March 24, 1976.
Meanwhile, the world's first female president democratically elected is Finnbogadsttir of Iceland Vigdis, who served between 1980 and 1996.
If the acting president included in the count, then Sühbaataryn Yanjmaa of Mongolia can be considered as the first female ruler in addition to the queen in contemporary politics.
Sühbaataryn Yanjmaa is the widow of a national hero of Mongolia, Suhbaatar.
Sühbaataryn Yanjmaa acted as First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the People's Great Khural of Mongolia and served as Chairman of the Presidium during a vacancy in that position from 23 September 1953 until July 7, 1954.
